How:

We will be kayaking across Bass Strait in 'Natureline' double sea kayaks known as 'Mermaid Doubles'.
 

The kayaks are 6.7 meters long, weigh 36kg and have built in hatches in the bow and stern to carry all of our equipment.

 

This will include food, water (80 litres max), camping gear, clothes, communications, toothbrushes, maps, charts and safety gear.
