Mt Roydon weather report
See a little video of Ramsay reading the weather from atop Mt Roydon at 1700 on 10 April, as a stellar exhibition of the Bass Strait "westerly express" thunders on through.
These 30 - 40 knot winds are caused by a high pressure ridge that is passing overhead. It's nearly blew the tent Lovejoy and I share away to a far away place and we needed a rapid relocation with better protection from the gusts.
Alas, we've been bunkered down since Friday riding out the woolly wild weather and are filling time with fixing boats and bodies, exploring the 34 hectare island, catching fish, reading books and drinking cups of tea.
Our weather guru Simmonds predicts the 'express' will start to abate around Tuesday and bring a few days of friendlier weather so we can safely continue our Bass Strait by Kayak trip.
Much love to all, from all of us, to all of you, for a better world.
